Protecting Wildlands

Our first films focused on public land conservation and the recovery of endangered species.  Conservation biology was coming to the forefront as a critical conservation strategy to protect large ecosystems and large carnivores to ensure conservation of the entire food web. Beyond Borders documented one of the first wildland protection campaigns built on conservation biology. Wild Connections explores the concept of a lynchpin ecosystem, Hells Canyon, that connects the Northern Rocky mountains to ecosystems across Oregon. Apache Wilderness Journeys portrays the work of the White Mountain Apache tribe to restore Mexican wolves.
